ITD are pleased to announce that they are adding an IDW delivery service for residential addresses into their portfolio of eCommerce parcel delivery services.

IDW stands for Irregular Dimensions & Weights. These are the kinds of consignments that require appropriate-sized vehicles to ensure safe, secure and successful delivery. IDW freight can now be catered for at ITD Global, including items up to a length of 3.2 metres on 1-man delivery services and up to 4m on 2-man delivery services.

If you specialise in irregular freight or perhaps you have some items of irregular size and weight within your retail portfolio, ITD Global’s new IDW service could prove invaluable.

Customers can select from two IDW services, depending on the size and weight of the package:

1-man IDW delivery

• Maximum Length of 3.2m
• Maximum Weight per Item of 50kg
• Maximum Weight per Consignment of 250kg
• Maximum Cube of 127kg per Item: This calculation is based on the dimensions of the package (Length x Depth x Height in centimetres) divided by 5,000.

2-man IDW delivery

Ecommerce delivery specialists ITD Global are expanding their operations with not one but two new ecommerce parcel depots around the UK. The Glasgow and Leeds depots are in addition to their Head Office in Manchester, and existing depots in Birmingham and London, supporting both domestic and international delivery.

ITD’s depots sort ecommerce parcels for collection by multiple carriers, with rules-based functionality determining the optimal carrier in each instance.

Glasgow depot now open

ITD Global’s Glasgow depot opened in Bellshill at the end of last year. The new depot serves as ITD’s Scottish hub, speeding up processing time for customers in Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond.

Leeds depot opening soon

ITD’s next local depot is set to open in Leeds this June, set to be part of a network of regional hubs up and down the country.

During her four and a half years at ITD Global, Dalya has progressed from Key Account Manager to Freight Operations Manager, bringing a passion and a dedication to looking after her clients and growing the business.

With a background in Buying and Merchandising, Dalya has been able to transfer her people and negotiation skills to what looks set to be a long and successful career in the freight forwarding industry.

While Dalya was pipped to the post at the awards, which culminated in a glittering luncheon ceremony on Thursday 19th January in the City of London, we heartily applaud Dalya for beating off stiff competition to reach a coveted finalist place.

We’re delighted to confirm the appointment of Chris Tresadern as ITD Global’s new CRO. Following a comprehensive recruitment exercise, Chris is, without doubt, the best person for the job, bringing with him a vast wealth of experience from over 30 years within the delivery industry.

Chris has a shining track record, being pivotal in the transformation of Tuffnells during his 20 years there, growing revenues by over £130 million whilst increasing margin and improving customer experience. He has held various key positions in both Sales, Commercial, and Operations at Board level, gaining a level of industry knowledge matched by few.

As Chief Revenue Officer, Chris takes responsibility for all Commercial activities at ITD, including heading up the Sales and Account Management teams. He’s been charged with driving the business forward by developing new and existing revenue streams both domestically and internationally, confirming ITD Global’s market proposition and value-added credentials. A challenge he can’t wait to get his teeth into!

ITD Global secures £15m investment from BGF

August 2022:

International freight logistics and express courier specialist, ITD Global, has announced a £15 million investment from the UK’s most active growth capital investor, BGF.

ITD Global is a tech-enabled logistics consolidator, which brokers parcel and freight solutions for eCommerce clients. In the last 12 months, the Heywood-headquartered business has facilitated the delivery of more than 11 million parcels to addresses in the UK and overseas.

The significant investment from BGF will help the multi-award-winning business to deliver its ambitious growth plans through the expansion of its UK depot network, beyond Manchester, London and Birmingham, as well as further developing its cutting-edge technology platform. The investment will also support the growth of its fulfilment and returns propositions, allowing ITD to provide a holistic service offering to its eCommerce clients, while also strengthening the carrier relationships it has built over its 18-year history.

Outside the UK,  the company currently operates offices in the Netherlands, China and Hong Kong. An additional UK site in Glasgow is due to launch in early 2023, with further depots to be rolled out over the next two years. Featured in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100, the company generated more than £60 million revenue in the last financial year (21/22).

Commenting on the deal, Jonathan Mocton, CEO at ITD Global, said:

“The eCommerce sector has experienced considerable growth in the last two years, building on what was already a highly robust base. With our technology enabled propositions allied to our extensive industry connections, warehousing, eCommerce, consolidation and freight expertise, we have been able to continue our strong growth journey and capitalise on the significant market opportunity that exists.

The deal was led by Harry Jones and Josh Bean, investors in BGF’s Manchester team, and Simon Rogers, ITD Global’s CFO. As part of the deal, John Browett, former CEO of Tesco.com and Chairman at Internet Fusion Group, will join the Board of Directors as Independent Non-Executive Chair. In addition, ex-CEO of iForce, Brian Gaunt, will continue in his role as Non-Executive Director.
